We have partnered with 3 Charities that are close to our hearts, and have helped us through some of the most testing times in our lives, it's only right, that we honor them for the support they so kindly gave us.
Stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance everywhere.
Sophie Lancaster was a young woman who was murdered for being different. She and her boyfriend were creative, artistic people who dressed in their own unique way. They were attacked by a gang of five boys in a park in Bacup, Lancashire on 11 August 2007. The gang attacked Sophie’s boyfriend first and then turned on her, carrying out a brutal and sustained attack. Sophie remained in hospital for 13 days, before following medical advice, the family agreed to life support being switched off. Sophie died on 24 August 2007; she was just 20 years old.
Epilepsy is a common serious neurological condition where there is a tendency to have seizures that start in the brain. Epilepsy is usually only diagnosed after a person has had more than one seizure.
Each person’s experience of epilepsy is unique. In Wales approximately 32,000 people, or 1 in 94, have the condition.
Public ignorance and misconceptions about epilepsy can lead to fear and prejudice. To combat this we promote awareness through events and training to ensure that epilepsy is better understood. Being informed about the condition helps reduce the impact epilepsy has on a person’s life.
